A high-energy, FUN, celebration of drumming and community. For beginners wanting to try something new, friends, experienced drummers, dancers. We celebrate the traditions - rhythms that have built energy for hundreds of years for celebration, dance, ritual - just plain FUN! As well as whatever you bring to it!  We'll have drums to share, and support for newcomers, and energy for everyone. In a Playback Theatre meetup, group members briefly share important moments from their lives (sometimes on a theme). Other members then "play back" the emotional essence of the story they just heard using movement, music, metaphor, dialogue... Together we often laugh, cry, get new insights about our lives, and feel heard and connected. As "actors" we also learn how to be more free and expressive and how to listen deeply and accurately.
